August 2026 Feast Days at the Cathedral
Bring Honey, Apples, and Flowers for Blessing at the Cathedral during the August Feast Days!
Aug. 1: Procession of the Holy Cross (also feast of the Maccabees) — when honey and poppy seeds are blessed.
Aug. 6: Transfiguration of the Lord — when fruit is blessed.
Aug. 15: Dormition of the Most-Holy Theotokos — when flowers are blessed.
If you are unable to attend on the day of the feast, we will also hold a blessing service the following Sunday after the feast. More details are available on the event poster.

На Спаські свята приносьте мед та яблука для освячення у катедрі! А також квіти на освячення на свято Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці!
1-го серпня: Чесного Хреста (також свято мучеників Маккавеєвих) — коли освячують мед і мак.
6-го серпня: Преображення Господнє — коли освячують яблука.
15-го серпня: Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці — коли освячують квіти.
