Sunday School Vertep Caroling (Photos)
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, the youth of our Sunday School joyfully set out to share the good news of Christ’s Nativity through the beautiful tradition of Vertep caroling. Visiting a number of parishioners, they brought with them not only Christmas songs, but also encouragement and the warmth of our parish community. The day was filled with a truly uplifting and prayerful spirit that touched both those who sang and those who welcomed them.
As part of this outreach, the group also visited the Ukrainian Canadian Centre, where they shared Christmas carols with our parishioners residing there, as well as with all residents of the facility. For many, this visit was especially meaningful, offering moments of connection, comfort, and festive joy during the Christmas season.
The hosts received our youth with sincere hospitality and generous hearts, for which we are deeply thankful. Through the kindness and generosity of our hosts, a total of $2,100 in donations was collected. These funds will be directed toward the “Send a Child to Camp” program, which supports our parish youth in attending summer camp. This program provides our young people with the opportunity to spend time in the fresh air, grow together in prayer, strengthen their faith, build lasting friendships, and take part in meaningful adventures rooted in Christian values.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who opened their homes and hearts, to everyone who supported this initiative, and especially to our young carolers for their dedication and joyful witness. For those who wish to continue supporting our youth, there is still an opportunity to do so — parish caroling will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, during regular coffee hour.
May the joy of Christ’s Nativity continue to dwell in our parish and in every home that was blessed through this beautiful ministry.
Вертеп та коляда від Недільної школи
У неділю, 11 січня 2026 року, молодь нашої Недільної школи з радістю вирушила ділитися доброю новиною Різдва Христового через прекрасну традицію вертепу та колядування. Відвідуючи парафіян, вони несли з собою не лише різдвяні колядки, але й заохочення, тепло та дух нашої парафіяльної спільноти. Увесь день був наповнений піднесеною, радісною та молитовною атмосферою, яка торкнулася як тих, хто колядував, так і тих, хто приймав колядників.
У рамках цього служіння молодь також відвідала Український канадський центр, де заколядувала для наших парафіян, які там проживають, а також для всіх мешканців закладу. Для багатьох цей візит став особливо зворушливим — моментом єднання, розради та різдвяної радості.
Господарі прийняли нашу молодь із щирою гостинністю та відкритими серцями, за що ми їм глибоко вдячні. Завдяки щедрості та доброті наших господарів було зібрано $2,100 пожертв. Ці кошти будуть спрямовані на програму “Send a Child to Camp”, яка допомагає нашій парафіяльній молоді взяти участь у літньому таборі. Ця програма дає дітям можливість перебувати на свіжому повітрі, зростати разом у молитві, зміцнювати віру, будувати міцні дружні стосунки та брати участь у змістовних пригодах, укорінених у християнських цінностях.
Висловлюємо щиру подяку всім, хто відкрив свої домівки й серця, усім, хто підтримав цю ініціативу, а особливо — нашим юним колядникам за їхню посвяту та радісне свідчення віри. Для всіх, хто бажає й надалі підтримати нашу молодь, ще є можливість долучитися — парафіяльне колядування відбудеться у неділю, 18 січня 2026 року, під час традиційної кави після Богослужіння.
Нехай радість Різдва Христового й надалі перебуває в нашій парафії та в кожному домі, який був благословенний цим прекрасним служінням.
