Summer Student – Facilities & Operations Documentation (Engineering Focus)
Part-Time (16 hours/week) | $20/hour | Summer Position
St. Volodymyr Cathedral is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer student, preferably from an engineering discipline, to support facilities operations and help document key procedures.
You will work closely with our experienced Caretaker (30+ years of service), learning how the building operates and helping transform that knowledge into clear, structured documentation for future staff.
What You’ll Do
Assist with general maintenance (cleaning, minor repairs, basic electrical and plumbing support)
Observe and document procedures in preparation for:
Religious services and major holidays
Funeral and memorial preparations
Special церковні events (e.g., water blessing)
Create checklists, schedules, and simple process documents
Help organize materials into a clear operations manual
What We’re Looking For
Engineering student (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or similar preferred)
Strong organizational and writing skills
Hands-on, practical mindset
Ability to work independently and ask good questions
Respectful of a religious environment
Asset: Ukrainian language skills
