Significant road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect across downtown Toronto on Sunday, July 19, 2026, primarily due to the final day of the FIFA Fan Festival at the Fort York and Bentway areas.
The following key closures and restrictions are in place:
Lake Shore Boulevard West: Closed between Bathurst Street and British Columbia Road.
Strachan Avenue: Closed from Lake Shore Boulevard West to East Liberty Street.
Exhibition Place & Surrounding Streets: Full closures on Manitoba Drive, Princes' Boulevard, and surrounding local event roads.
Fort York Boulevard: Restricted to local traffic and local access passes only.
Liberty Village: Local access-only restrictions will apply on surrounding streets (e.g., local traffic only, passes required).
Fleet Street: Closed to general traffic to accommodate a temporary streetcar hub (TTC vehicles only).
Green P Parking: There is NO on-street paid parking on King Street West/East, Dundas Street West, or Wellington Street East.
Drivers should expect extreme congestion throughout the downtown core—especially along the Lake Shore corridor and near the Rogers Centre—starting early in the morning and peaking between 11 AM and 7 PM.
