The countdown to the Centennial celebration begins!
Dear brothers and sisters, esteemed community of the St. Volodymyr Cathedral!
Today, we stand on the threshold of a special time — the celebration of the Centennial of our native Cathedral. A hundred years is not just a milestone in time; it is a road paved with faith, labor, and the indomitable spirit of those who came before us.
Our ancestors did not look for easy paths. They built a temple where the fire of their faith burned in their hearts — and became the foundation of this shrine. They did not just build walls — they breathed life into them, led people within them, and established a community that lives on today.
And now the word is addressed to us — those who have accepted this heritage.
Our mission is not only to preserve, but also to grow as a parish. Not only to remember, but also to create. We are called to set the direction that will enable us to build on faith to operate continuously, through time, through generations, through the many challenges ahead of us.
Because faith is not a memory. It is action. It is a movement. It is a force that knows no bounds when hearts are united.
Over the coming months, there are many events planned to celebrate Faith, Culture, and Community, culminating in the Archpastoral Visitation and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral on October 18th, 2026, and the Centennial Gala Celebration at St Volodymyr Cultural Centre on Saturday, November 7th.
So, celebrating these anniversary events, let us stand together in unity, in hope, in responsibility. May the voice of those who started it be heard in each of us. And may our deeds become a worthy response to their faith.
May the Lord bless our community, our Cathedral, and each of us for a new century of light, strength, and spiritual growth.

Дорогі брати і сестри, шановна громадо Катедри Святого Володимира!
Сьогодні ми стоїмо на порозі особливого часу — відкриття планових заходів у рамках святкування Сторіччя нашої рідної Катедри. Сто років – це не лише відлік часу, це дорога, вистелена вірою, працею і незламним духом тих, хто був перед нами.
Наші пращури не шукали легких шляхів. Вони зводили храм там, де, здавалося, були лише рівнина і вітер. Але в їхніх серцях горів вогонь віри — і саме він став підмурівком цієї святині. Вони не просто збудували стіни — вони вдихнули в них життя, повели за собою людей, утвердили громаду, що живе й сьогодні.
І нині слово звертається до нас — тих, хто прийняв цю спадщину.
Наша місія — не лише зберегти, а й примножити. Не лише пам’ятати, а й творити. Ми покликані задати той вектор розвитку, що дозволить механізму, збудованому на вірі, діяти безупинно, крізь часи, крізь покоління, крізь усі випробування.
Бо віра — це не спогад. Це дія. Це рух. Це сила, що не знає меж, коли серця єдині.
Тож, відкриваючи ці ювілейні заходи, станьмо разом у єдності, в надії, у відповідальності. Нехай у кожному з нас озветься голос тих, хто починав. І нехай наші діла стануть гідною відповіддю на їхню віру.
