The year 2026 is profoundly significant — not only for our parish, but for our entire community. It marks 100 years since a group of Ukrainians, united by faith, courage, and devotion to their heritage, came together to create an enduring home for Ukrainian faith, culture, identity, and belonging in Canada.
On Saturday, November 7, 2026, we will gather for the Centennial Gala Celebration of St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto to honour, above all, our people — the generations whose faith, service, sacrifice, and dedication built our community and preserved it for an entire century.

Our story began with the first Divine Liturgy on November 14, 1926, when a community took root, united by Orthodox faith and Ukrainian identity. The Cathedral was later constructed and officially opened on November 7, 1948. Over the decades, it became a spiritual home, a gathering place, and an important pillar of Ukrainian Orthodox and Ukrainian Canadian life in Toronto and beyond.
Today, 100 years later, we continue this mission — preserving our sacred faith and rich Ukrainian cultural heritage while building a strong community for future generations.
