LECTURE: Understanding the Holodomor

The Ucrainica Research Institute invites you to attend Dr. Lubomyr Luciuk’s lecture “Understanding the Holodomor” on Thursday, Sept 10, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Westminster Room, Old Mill Toronto, 21 Old Mill Road.
Lubomyr Luciuk is a Professor Emeritus of the Royal Military College of Canada and a Senior Research Fellow of the Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Toronto. Dr. Luciuk is the author, editor, and co-editor of 32 manuscripts, and was awarded the Cross of Ivan Mazepa in 2019 by Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
His lecture this evening will examine the causes and consequences of the Great Famine of 1932-1934 in Soviet Ukraine.
