Scholarship award at the Chapel
On August 10th, the Chapel was proud to present scholarships to two outstanding students: Michael Yastreb, who will begin the Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance program at Mohawk College, and Matvii Zakharchuk, entering his second year of Commerce studies at the University of Toronto in Mississauga.
The scholarships were awarded by Fr. Jaroslaw and Slavko Adamec. Fr. Jaroslaw reminded us that
“When we invest in our children, we invest in our future. This goodness will return many times over. It is our duty to support and care for them every step of the way.”
This year, 12 scholarships have been awarded in total. This initiative is governed and provided by fixed annual funding by the St. Volodymyr Cathedral. Under normal circumstances, this annual fund is sufficient to award up to 6 candidates. With the additional support and funding by the Hearts of Ukraine and the Fellowship of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, the additional 6 recipients were worthy of our Church's support. Our commitment is to help and encourage our youth to thrive in their education and faith journeys.

Вручення стипендій у Каплиці
У неділю 10-го серпня у Каплиці відбулася важлива подія — вручення стипендій двом студентам, які впевнено крокують до своєї освіти та майбутньої кар’єри. Цьогорічні стипендіати — Michael Yastreb, який розпочне навчання за програмою Aviation Technician - Aircraft Maintenance Diploma в Mohawk College, та Matvii Zakharchuk, який переходить на другий курс спеціальності Commerce в University of Toronto (Mississauga).
Одразу після літургії урочисте вручення степендій провели отець Ярослав та Славко Адамець. Отець Ярослав наголосив:
“Вкладаючи в дітей — ми вкладаємо у своє майбутнє. Це добро повернеться сторицею. Ми маємо піклуватися та допомагати нашим дітям, підтримуючи їх на кожному кроці”.
Цього року було вручено 12 стипендій. Ця ініціатива регулюється та забезпечується фіксованим щорічним фінансуванням від катедри св. Володимира у Торонто. За звичайних обставин цього щорічного фонду достатньо для нагородження до 6 кандидатів. Завдяки додатковій підтримці та фінансуванню з боку Hearts of Ukraine та Fellowship of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, ще 6 осіб були визнані гідними підтримки нашої Церкви. Наше зобов'язання полягає в тому, щоб допомагати та заохочувати нашу молодь до успіхів у навчанні та духовному розвитку.
