Goodbye School, Hello Summer!
On June 27, 2026, more than 200 guests gathered at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre in Oakville, located at All Saints of Ukraine Chapel, for a wonderful outdoor summer celebration.
A highlight of the celebration was the flower wreath-making workshop led by the talented Ukrainian artist Nadia Voloshchuk, to whom we extend our heartfelt gratitude. More than 50 women and girls of all ages took part, each creating her own traditional Ukrainian wreath from fresh flowers and herbs. Along the way, participants learned about the history and symbolism of this cherished Ukrainian tradition, finishing their wreaths with colourful ribbons. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect, create, and spend time together while celebrating our cultural heritage.
The festive atmosphere was enriched by Ukrainian music, authentic homemade food, and traditional treats. Children and adults alike enjoyed a variety of engaging team games and thoughtfully prepared art activities.
The evening's most memorable moment was gathering around a real bonfire. As children roasted marshmallows over the fire and families shared conversations, smiles, and words of gratitude, many found themselves reminiscing about summers back home in Ukraine. On the sunlit lawn beside the Chapel, those cherished memories reached the deepest corners of every heart, reminding everyone that the warmth of home can be carried wherever we are.
This celebration was a beautiful reflection of the strength and unity of our parish community. Our youth, students of the Saturday and Sunday schools, altar servers, carolers, dedicated volunteers, and their supportive families all play an important role in making our parish family vibrant, welcoming, and strong.
It was a day filled with laughter, friendship, Ukrainian traditions, and unforgettable summer memories that will stay with us for a long time.

This special event was planned and organized as part of the Centennial Celebrations of St. Volodymyr Cathedral in Toronto and marked the successful completion of another school year — a year in which our children and youth gained new knowledge, skills, experiences, and friendships. We are deeply grateful to everyone who serves our Church and community with such dedication.

Бувай, школо! Привіт, літо!
Літній фантастичний івент під відкритим небом за участю понад 200 гостей пройшов 27 червня 2026 р. в Культурному Центрі Святого Володимира в Оквілі, що при Каплиці Всіх Святих Землі Української.
Успішним його зробили майстер-клас по плетінню віночків з живих квітів і трав, за лідерства талановитої мисткині Надії Волощук, за що їй уклінна подяка! В ньому взяло участь понад 50 учасниць різного віку, і кожна з них чудово впоралася із завданням, отримавши неабияку насолоду від спілкування та такого вдумливого часу проведення. Жінки та дівчата поповнили знання про цей стародавній український звичай та його обов’язкові атрибути, сплівши власноруч вінок з усіма традиційними рослинами, наприкінці оздобили віночки стрічками.
Доповнили атмосферу на святі українська музика, автентичні українські страви та смаколики. Діти та дорослі мали можливість взяти участь у різних активних командних іграх та ретельно підготованих захоплюючих арт-класах. Абсолютною родзинкою свята стала справжня ватра. Смаження маршмелоу коло багаття, багато посмішок, розмов, слова вдячності та теплі спомини всеосяжного, щедрого на звичаї українського літа. Вони сягали найтепліших куточків душі кожного присутнього у залитій сонцем галявині поруч із Каплицею.
Це свято - живий вияв цілісності нашої парафії, адже наша дорога та найцінніша молодь, учні суботньої та недільної шкіл, прислужники при вівтарі, колядники (при постійній підтримці їхніх батьків) та наші віддані волонтери, - роблять нас єдиною і неподільною парафіяльною родиною, що росте, міцніє та невпинно розвивається.

Цей урочистий захід спланований та реалізований в рамках святкування сторіччя Катедри Святого Володимира в Торонто та приурочений закінченню навчального року, в якому кожен здобув більше знань, досвіду та вмінь! Дякуємо за щире служіння нашій церкві!
