Family Day with Our Parish Family (Photos)
On Monday, February 16, we celebrated our very first Family Day together as a parish community! A great deal of preparation went into organizing this special event, and 95 parishioners registered to join us. Our idea was simple: spend meaningful time together enjoying active fun—ice skating—followed by delicious pizza, sweets, and hot chocolate. It turned out to be a truly joyful and engaging experience for everyone! We also discovered that many of us could use a bit more practice on the ice, so this initiative definitely has great potential to become a tradition, perhaps even in a slightly different format next time.
The month of February will forever hold a special meaning for every Ukrainian family. How wonderful it is that we have one another here in Canada, far from our homeland, yet united through our parish, our friendships, and the wholehearted support of our clergy. This togetherness gives us strength and hope, fills our hearts with warmth and positive emotions, and eases the sorrow and longing that can feel especially heavy at the end of winter. We are not alone here—we are together. There are people beside us who truly care and want to make our lives brighter.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the organizers, with special gratitude to Tanya Jurychuk, who led this event. She demonstrated exceptional dedication, strategic vision, and outstanding organizational leadership. Thank you to everyone who attended—because of you, our parish is so special and strong.
Once again, we warmly congratulate all Ukrainian families on Family Day! We embrace you with our hearts as we stand just steps away from spring.

День сім’ї з нашою парафіяльною родиною
В понеділок, 16 лютого, відбувся перший спільний день сімʼї, який ми святкували разом! Було проведено велику роботу з підготовки до цього спільного заходу, на який зареєструвалися 95 парафіян! Задум провести час разом, маючи активну розвагу: катання на ковзанах та смачну піцу, солодощі, гарячий шоколад, був реалізований успішно! Виявилося, що це цікаве та захоплююче проведення часу! Крім того, багатьом ще потрібно попрактикуватися свої вміння кататися на ковзанах, тому така ініціатива має великий потенціал бути повтореною, можливо, в дещо іншому форматі!
Лютий місяць по-особливому буде сприйматися кожною українською сімʼєю назавжди. Як чудово, що ми є одне в одного тут в Канаді, так далеко від Батьківщини, але обʼєднані нашою парафією, приятельськими стосунками між собою та всеохоплюючою підтримкою духовенства. Це дає нам силу, надію та наповнює серця позитивними емоціями, заповнює порожнечу смутку та спогадів наприкінці зими. Ми тут не самі — ми разом. Є люди поруч, які хочуть зробити наше життя щасливішим.
Дякуємо всім організаторам. Особлива подяка Тетяні Юрчук, яка була лідером цього івенту. Вона проявила себе як виключно старанна особистість зі стратегічним баченням та організаторськими якостями найвищого рівня. Дякуємо кожному присутньому — завдяки вам наша парафія така особлива і сильна!
Ще раз принагідно вітаємо з Днем сімʼї українські родини! Обіймаємо вас серцем за пів кроку до весни!
