A Wonderful St. Nicholas Day at the Chapel (Photos)
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every person, thanks to whom this year’s celebration of Saint Nicholas Day became possible! For the fourth consecutive year, our dear parishioners, esteemed clergy, volunteers, and event sponsors gathered at the Saint Volodymyr Cultural Center in a beautifully decorated and cozy hall to bring joy to our children.
What a pleasure, a source of pride, and boundless joy it is to see our children grow, witness their achievements, observe how they deepen in faith, and recognize how they symbolize the future of our community. Children are the driving force behind development and new ideas, which our volunteers lovingly bring to life. This year, a highlight of the celebration was a vytynanka-style photo zone, created with great care and love, where Christmas landscapes and the charm of a Ukrainian village became a brilliant festive backdrop for guests’ photographs. Background music and an extensive slide presentation showcasing the history of our parish beautifully complemented the joyful atmosphere in the hall. As always, the delicious, thoughtfully prepared refreshments were greatly enjoyed by all our guests.
An undeniable highlight of the celebration was the appearance of St. Nicholas and his Angels, who greeted the children, listened to their poems, and sang together with them.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of gifts to all children, along with words of gratitude and appreciation. The clergy present, together with the Bishop, emphasized that the first and most important church in a child’s life is their family. This once again highlighted how deeply family-centred this celebration is—anticipated, cherished, and now held for the fourth time, making it a true tradition of our parish. Guests also noted that each year this event becomes increasingly engaging and meaningful.
Christmas art classes, festive face painting, and a corner with giant soap bubbles became essential elements of children’s entertainment.
Next year, 2026, an Anniversary year for our parish, we will celebrate the fifth St. Nicholas Day! May it be even brighter, more unforgettable, and filled with happiness. We look forward to welcoming all children—one year wiser, more grown-up, and always in good spirits and good health!

Чудовий день св. Миколая у Каплиці
Щиросердне дякуємо всім і кожному, завдяки кому цьогорічне свято Святого Миколая стало можливим! Четвертий рік поспіль в Культурному центрі Святого Володимира, в ошатній затишній залі збираються наші дорогі віряни, вельмишановне духовенство, волонтери, спонсори заходу та дарують радість нашим дітлахам!
Яка це приємність, гордість і безмежна радість бачити як дітки ростуть, яких здобутків досягають, як зростають у своїй вірі та символізують майбутнє нашої громади. Саме діти є рушієм розвитку, нових ідей, які втілюють організатори. Цьогоріч оздобою свята стала фотозона у стилі витинанки створена з великою любов’ю, де різдвяні пейзажі та колорит українського села стали блискучим, святковим тлом для фотографій гостей. Фонова музика та розлога слайд презентація історії нашої парафії чудово доповнювала атмосферу свята, що панувала в залі. Незмінно смачне, продумане до дрібниць частування дуже смакувало гостям.
Беззаперечною родзинкою стала поява Святого Миколая та його Янголів, які вітали дітей, слухали їхні вірші та співали разом.
Завершилося святом врученням подарунків всім дітям, словами вдячності, подяки. Присутнє духовенство та Єпископ зазначили що перша і головна церква в житті дитини - її сімʼя. Це підкреслює наскільки це свято родинне, очікуване та вже вчетверте проведене, а отже, традиційне для нашої парафії. Також гості заходу зазначили що з кожним роком цей івент стає дедалі цікавішим.
Різдвяні мистецькі класи, святковий face painting, куточок з гігантськими мильними бульбашками стали обовʼязковими елементами дитячих розваг.
Наступного, ювілейного для нашої парафії, 2026 року відбудеться вже пʼяте Свято Святого Миколая! Нехай воно буде ще яскравішим, ще незабутнішим та щасливішим! Чекатимемо всіх діток на рік мудрішими, дорослішими та незмінно з хорошим настроєм та міцним здоровʼям!
