St. Volodymyr Cathedral
Re-opens its doors!

Welcome Back!

St. Volodymyr Cathedral has reopened its doors. Please note - Divine Liturgy now begins at 9:30 am. Father Jaroslaw is available for Confession on Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or by special appointment.

The Province of Ontario entered Step 2 of the reopening plan on June 30th enabling us to increase in-person attendance to 25 percent. Additionally, a number of services including Weddings and Baptisms can now be scheduled.

We encourage you to register as soon as possible if you wish to attend service(s) and receive Communion. Contact the Cathedral Administrator, Myroslava Dubyk at 416-603-3224 or office@stvolodymyr.ca to register. Please make sure you have been notified by the Administrator that you have a place reserved before coming to the Cathedral.

Online Services and Liturgies will continue and should you want to arrange for a special service and private live stream video, please call the Cathedral Administrator.

St. Volodymyr Cathedral needs Volunteers to greet parishioners at Sunday Liturgies. A wonderful opportunity to meet fellow worshippers and members of the community. Please contact the Cathedral Administrator.

St. Volodymyr parish staff and volunteers are pleased to see continued progress being made to combat the virus as a result of everyone’s efforts. We continue to remain focused on maintaining the Cathedral as a safe and comfortable place to worship. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to soon be able to welcome back many more parishioners and worship together.

New Liturgical Texts

The parish now has an expanded library of fundamental liturgical texts from Ukraine, thanks to Father Deacon Kostyantyn who coordinated the acquisition.

These texts are the fruit of many years of dedicated labour by clergy, theologians and academics of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The new liturgical texts include the services of Holy Week, Resurrectional and weekday services of the Octoechos (the cycle of 8 tones), the Lenten and Flowery Triodion (containing hymnody of the Great Fast and Paschal-Pentecost cycles respectively); and a multi-volumed Menaion (verses, canons and readings for saints’ commemorations for every day of every month of the year).

Help purchase a second set of complete texts for the Chapel — and contribute to building the most current and comprehensive Ukrainian Orthodox parish library in Canada.

Tax Receipt Changes

Dear Parishioners, 

Please accept our sincere gratitude for your donations to St. Volodymyr  Cathedral of Toronto. Your support helps us meet the spiritual needs of the Ukrainian Orthodox community both in Toronto and at  All Saints of Ukraine Chapel in Oakville. 

Over the past couple of months, St. Volodymyr Cathedral implemented many upgrades including digitization and modernization of our office functions. The tax receipt system has also changed. Tax receipts for your membership dues, contributions, and donations will be cumulated and mailed to you only once at the end of the year.  

We are blessed to have you as our parishioners and may God bless you and your family.

За останні пару місяців Катедра Св. Володимира здійснила багато змін, включаючи оцифровку та модернізацію нашого офісу. Змінилась і система податків. Квитанції  за членські внески, датки та пожертви тепер надсилатимуться Вам лише один раз наприкінці року.
