Overview of Program

The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarships program is designed to assist students in achieving their academic, professional and community leadership goals. The program objective is to instill a commitment to the growth and preservation of the Canadian Ukrainian heritage.

The scholarship program is open to students who are members in good standing of a Ukrainian Orthodox parish within the Eastern Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. Membership is defined in the bylaws of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada (UOCC) or by the written bylaws of an individual parish.

One theology scholarship award is open to students with the Eastern Eparchy and the second one is open to any student in across Canada who meets the parish or UOCC church membership criteria.

Please note: The bylaws of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada recognize individuals as family members until the age of 18 years after which, to be a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, each person must register as a member individually.

The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarship Program will annually award up to six (6) scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted into a full-time program at an accredited post-secondary institution.

The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarships has two categories.

Post Secondary studies;    four (4) scholarships of $1,000 each.

Theology Studies; two (2)  scholarships $1,000 each
